HADES Interviewed On 'Mars Attacks' Podcast
February 19, 2011The HADES guitar tandem of Dan Lorenzo and Scott LePage was interviewed by host Victor M. Ruiz for the latest episode of the "Mars Attacks" podcast. The first half of the episode contains an interview with Scott in which he touches on his new band THE FREEZE TAG ASSASSINS; his blues playing; and the HADES reunion (among other things). During the Dan Lorenzo segment, he discusses not only the upcoming HADES show, but being featured in the "Moshed Potatoes" book; the soon-to-be-released HADES and NON-FICTION split DVD; the possibility of new music from either band; the current status of THE CURSED; which features Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth from OVERKILL, and SCREAM METAL, the cover band he shares with Alan Tecchio (also of HADES and NON-FICTION) and Mark Strigl and John Ostronomy of "Talking Metal" fame. Dan, not being one to mince words, has some interesting comments regarding the "Big Four", and alludes to the fact that HADES was playing a certain cover well in advance of another New York tri-state-area band.

HADES will release its second DVD, entitled "Re-United And Re-Ignited", featuring footage of the band's April 2010 reunion concert in Clifton, New Jersey. Produced by Jay Bones for Viking Digital, the DVD features the entire set by HADES from that evening. The setlist is primarily made up of songs off the band's first two CDs, "Resisting Success" and "If At First You Don't Succeed". The DVD also includes an intro by Don Jamieson from "That Metal Show" as well as seven songs from the NON-FICTION reunion show that was filmed a few months prior to the HADES concert. Bonus footage includes HADES rehearsing.
HADES' next show is scheduled for Saturday, March 26 at Dingbatz in Clifton, New Jersey. The band's lineup for the concert will be the same as that that performed at last year's Bang Your Head!!! festival on July 17 in Balingen, Germany — Alan Tecchio on vocals, Dan Lorenzo and Scott LePage on guitar, Tom Coombs on drums, and Kevin Bolembach (NON-FICTION) on bass. Support at the gig will come from PISTON DRIVEN and MAGUS BEAST. HADES will be joined on stage by former MANOWAR guitarist Ross "The Boss" Friedman to perform a song off the first MANOWAR LP.
